S1: Probability Poem

it's probabilities all the way down

Ways of thinking are just that

the complex sliding of the nuances of meaning evoked by the word ‘hypostatized’:

from a thought or idea to conceiving of the thought or idea as actually existing outside thought or consciousness, such as the notion of "Truth", or that bridge I crossed yesterday, and then on to become the essence or Being of the World rather than the Being-in-the-World (in the Heideggerian sense) that it started out as provides a laboratory in which to study the complex and multihued exfoliations of sense that language is and that language exudes. And poetry vibrates among that extended situation, patterns of neural firings.

S2: Statement

any phenomenon, i.e., any situation available to [an] awareness, can be considered as an 'art object'.

I like to say that I am studying what we know, the status of knowing and of the known, and how we know what we think we know. I often describe some of the things I make as visual poetry. Since 1986, I've published contemporary poetry as Generator Press.  The press currently makes work available on the website www.generatorpress.com.
