Kenneth Flynn was born in Michigan and
grew up in Trenton New Jersey, Stockholm Sweden and Melbourne
Australia. Back in the USA, he studied at Lehigh University and then
became a Naval Aviator serving aboard the Kitty Hawk, Forrestal,
Coral Sea, among others, during the Viet Nam era. Upon returning, to
heal his soul, he turned again to his art. Having begun as a painter
he moved to three dimensional expression while studying in Florida.
His first sculptured piece of a POW (fashioned after his friend) was
juried into the All California Art Exposition. Since then Flynn has
developed an original process of molten bronze. His patented process
has earned him the distinction of originality in welded metal. His
work is owned by significant collectors throughout this country and
in Europe, and has been shown in USA galleries from coast to coast. |
