He paraded
before her
like
some kind of
jack flash
strutting peacock
waiting
to slide her
from the leather of
her vagabond ways

Preening
he tasted her age
spat his salt
across her
peeling grapefruit
before
consuming all
that was fresh;
dragged thorns
across her sex
then left her
to bleed.
