Dear Dreamer

The night is your sister
she waits for your paper offerings
of colored confetti and party hat.

Oh shimmering breath
and waterfall stars
on pink couches
unquiet fingers fall.

Do not be alarmed
for she is softer than a kitten's eye
a beauty assembled from the loneliness
of undiscovered lips, hungry cheek & thigh.

Beautiful dreamer plunge into the dark
like long tongues of moonbeams,
your limbs immortal
only until dawn blooms
around your closed eyes.
