In the mosaic style of knowing breath

I compose a poem
from small pieces. I
settle on paper, light,
some dark, an alabaster
hand-carved marble heart,
in deepest red, then overlap
the weight of this with flowers

wafted up from smoke,
what used to be a leaf,
a dwarf-pink rose:

I Zen rake,
lovemaking you in.
