Peggy Love

Pink Chanel

show me how it is done
when what undergirds
buckles, crumbles
betrays as an 8mm rolls,
records the mad
scramble to retrieve
the blasted pieces
of who he used to be.
i do not have white gloves,
a pill box hat, or a
bloodstained pink suit
by Chanel to show
the world my dignity,
but my stone face
does its best to
mimic you.
